Hello Aesthetics Advocates!
Thank you for subscribing to the Aesthetics Research Lab newsletter, a reader-supported publication.
As someone who is passionate about the role and impact that aesthetics has on our lives, I strive to make many posts free. For example, a recent post highlighted the need for better aesthetics for functional devices, namely mobility aids.
I engage regularly with people from five contexts—art, beauty industry, fashion, architecture, and business. It became apparent recently that many people are interested and would benefit from learning about and connecting with the history of aesthetics. So, I have begun writing the History of Aesthetics Project. This is a massive, essentially book-length, project, and these posts—other than the first few—will be available to paid subscribers.
As I finish my teaching obligations for this year, and hope to dedicate more time writing for this project, I decided a discount was in order. Until June 1, 2024, I’m offering a 20% discount for anyone who subscribes for a year.
Click the button below for the discounted price.
Beyond the additional posts, my plan is to host some salon-style conversations for paid subscribers to discuss some of these ideas in more depth. (More on that in the coming months…)
If you are unable to commit, I completely understand and thank you for your readership. I would ask your assistance with two things: First, please send this information to anyone else who may be interested. Second, you can support my advocacy of aesthetics by referring me to others looking for speakers.
Thank you kindly for all your support and encouragement!
Michael
